It’s your thinking that is getting in your way. Allow yourself to feel without the thinking.

Emotional suffering happens when you cast away your painful feelings. Antidepressants, antipsychotics, or sleeping pills will numb your pain but will not make it go away. Filling the void and compensating with addictive behaviors and self-destructive patterns is a dead end. Trying to control your emotions by using various techniques may help for a while… But in the end, you revert to the unending loop of emotional agony, and wonder “what’s wrong with me?” and “what’s the point of my life?”. Emotional denial or control will not make the pain go away, it will make it even worse.

“When you condemn the weak within - the victim, the tears, the self-pity, the hopeless, the helpless, the fearful, the one who hides, the one who pleads, who wants relief, the addict, the greedy and selfish - you make them homeless, for you cast them out of this idea of who you think you are. But in their dungeon, homeless, cast out life they become our own witches brew that drains the very life from us. For trapped within them is our own light and life.” - Clay Miller

Allow yourself to “feel without the thinking”. Your body is like a flute. Your body sings the songs of your stories and life traumas. Emotional Movement offers you to tune your instrument and play a song that is more in alignment with your truth and vision.

When grief appears, can you embrace it with your loving arms? Can you breathe and allow it to move through your body? When you feel the grip of terror, what can you do? Instead of rejecting the feeling, can you welcome fear? Can you love your fear like a mother loves her child? Can you allow your feeling to move though your body, without believing the thinking attached to your feeling? For instance, can you allow yourself to feel unlovable, without believing the thought that you will never be loved? It’s your thinking that is getting in your way.

Your thinking tries to control your feelings and emotions, and then you get sucked into a never ending war between feelings and thoughts. Thoughts try to control your feelings because the mind wants to dictate how you “should” feel and who you “should” be.

In Movement Ritual, we can access our emotions and feelings without the interference of the mind, because when it comes to feelings and emotions, thoughts can act as gasoline on fire.

It’s your thinking that is getting in your way. Allow yourself to feel without the thinking. The only way out is through. Clear the way. It’s now or never.

Pausing. Witnessing. Being.

Movement Ritual invites you to cultivate the quality of pausing and witnessing, which is key to develop awareness and initiate the emotional healing process. By pausing, you step out of the mindset of doing, figuring things out, or trying to fix things. You are invited to explore movement in stillness and stillness in movement, and all the spaces in between. You give yourself the gift to notice and be present. So you can allow emotional release and self-discovery.

By embodying and honoring your emotions, you release their grip on you.

Please, sit with me and visualize a stone circle in the desert. This you right here! A big and self compassionate circle in which all emotions and life stories move. In this circle, move all those particular energies and emotions.

When different energies are in conflict, it creates emotional tensions. For example, if you experience an intense feeling of grief, a part of you may be in tears begging for help, while another part may urge you not to cry, because you just can’t be weak. When one energy takes the lead and casts away another energy, it causes depression, self-sabotage, anger, rage, self-hate, addictions, grief, feeling of loss, feeling of being lost, meaninglessness, hopelessness. In the example I mentioned grief, your controller-pusher part may take the lead on your grieving-vulnerable part. It can work for a while, and then you may become alcoholic because drinking may be your way to alleviate the pain of your grieving part who desperately needs to be heard and honored.

Movement Ritual invites you to embody your emotions and engage a “body dialogue” between different energies and emotional forces you feel. By honoring all your emotions, you release the grip they have on you, because if you do not own your emotions, they will own you.

Returning to the Flow. Being like a circle in which all emotions move.

In Movement Ritual, you are invited to be like a circle in which all your stories and emotions move. Because the Circle invokes “Oneness”. You are the "loving circle” in which every thing moves, in which you can feel One and return to the state of peace and flow.

It’s time to go all in and let the light shine on the broken places! If you allow yourself to feel and welcome all your feelings, you can be free of pain and experience who you truly are.
